Best Bar None gives national accreditation for licensed premises and is recognised as best practice by the Home Office and the industry.  It is a nation-wide scheme, promoted in many different cities across the UK.

Birmingham Best Bar None is now in its fourth year and has different 8 categories for venues to enter:
  • Best City Centre Pub
  • Best Suburban Pub
  • Best City Centre Bar
  • Best Suburban Bar
  • Best Nightclub
  • Best Hotel Bar
  • Best Independent Venue
  • Best University / Student Bar
Although the Best Bar None scheme is nation-wide, the Birmingham scheme is unique as it is a city-wide scheme and takes into account both our status as a Conference City and the many universities and colleges with the Best Hotel Bar and Best University / Student Bar categories, introduced to recognise this.

The bar going public of Birmingham are invited to VOTE for their preferred "Best Bar None" on the website of sponsors BRMB between 14th July & 20th August.

And ... while we're on the subject perhaps we should also mention that Birmingham is a Purple Flag city ~ a status awarded in 2010, to recognise "excellence in the management of town and city centres at night".  Which pretty much means (what we all knew) - that Birmingham rocks at night as well as during the day!
